Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-D3 Final released!

The team issued a fourth version of the Custom Firmware 5.50GEN-D3, for all the PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 (excluding those with motherboard TA-088v3). This new update will contain the final version of the CF 5.50GEN-D3 and improves the way SPEED UP for Memory Stick. Also introduces support for irshell D3 (which will be released shortly) and fixes a bug related to VSH menu.

- PSP-1000 or 2000 (except TA-088v3) with at least CF 4.01M33. E 'advisable to start the update from CF 5.50GEN-B2
- Set the theme and the original background for the XMB

- Copy the firmware 5.50, renamed 550.pbp in the root directory.
- Extract the contents of the package XGEN Updater for 5.50GEN-D3 and copy the UPDATE folder in PSP / GAME
- Start the application in the game> Memory Stick
- Select the option Install Flash CFW 5:50 GEN-D3

Not long ago i would have hammered the GEN team for four updates in 1 day but i been running D2 for a few weeks with no real problems, and i'm just glad they on the ball with quick bug fixes, i still think i'm risking a bricking with this so i'll wait untill they fumigate the other bugs before i try.

Its not even fun anymore to talk about, and I think I will actually try this one out, that is after GEN-D3(update 62) comes out and seems stable :)

No Speed-Up and no IRShell patch ... as allways

I've allways seen "I will release IRS patch in a few minutes" or "IRS Patch" in D-x readmes but i'm still waiting

its a good fw i have had no problems with it all my emulators work and all of my games work it is a good job and i am thankful to have a team still working on fw instead of crying for dax he was good when he was out but his day has past

yes it does corrupts all my older m33 gamesave data is there a way to fix it ? maybe by renaming file or something if not i have a lot of work to do go back and beat all of my games once more sheesh

This update was going fine for 2 days, but my savedata and some games dindt boot or were corrupted. Then I was hearing music and suddenly no sound on my psp. At first I think my psp broke, but I remember installing the firmware so after trying everithyng (turn off, on, vol up, down, battery out, in) but still nothing.

Finnally I decided tht it was best to go back to 5.00m33, and the sound was back, savedatas were fine and games boot fast and normally again.

There is nothing bad about it, obviously now it's a bit dated but it does what it's good for...

And please use proper English!

i used to run m33
but then assassin's creed bloodlines came out and i wanted to play (m33 couldnt run new games)
so i went to GEN and i love it
