http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/9/2009/12/500x_fat_princess_four.jpgAfter suffering a short delay, it appears that PlayStation Network (http://kotaku.com/tag/playstationnetwork/) game Fat Princess (http://kotaku.com/tag/fatprincess/) will be released in Japan on Christmas Day. And the reason for that delay? Previous speculation (http://kotaku.com/5408055/fat-princess-delayed-in-japan) about a lack of fingers may have been accurate.
In newly released artwork for the PlayStation 3 (http://kotaku.com/tag/playstation3/) game, the Fat Princess cast is now playing with a full hand, each class sporting five fingers instead of the previous four. While not officially blamed for the game's release, a four-fingered hand is often linked to referencing yakuza culture, the Burakamin Japanese social minority group and the the numeral four as an unlucky number.
