I've been working on this for a little while. Uses libmpeg2, mpglib (the version from Lame, plus a few bits I grabbed from mpg123), some stuff from the vcdimager header files, Dan Potter's GhettoPlay menu, a few pieces from DCDivX for disc swap support and whatnot... info I gathered from the KOS mailing list, xine, the xine-vcdnav plugin, the vcdimager documentation...
Anyway, it's nowhere near perfect yet, but it will play mpeg elementary streams (m1v, mp3, etc) and program streams. It will play anything it can find on a VCD, but all it looks for at the moment are the entry points listed in VCD/ENTRIES.VCD (sector 301 on the disc). I plan on adding support for MPEG stills and menus at some point, and sound could still use some work (but A/V sync seems pretty much right on). I'll probably be officially releasing this soon, but I thought I'd post a binary here for anyone interested.
