create folder called roms in the emulator directory and put the roms there

Hmmm... I'll give this a miss then for now.

Nice to see somebody working on psp mame again though.

This is just a port to make it compatible with 5.XX firmwares. A while back Zack did say he had plans to improve pspmame I hope this is true.
I would love to run the old arcade ones perfectly on the psp.

Thanks for the tips rojblake. Prob was there were so many eboots with this one, whereas the other mame emus on pspo just had one, so i figured you had to research a game in advance to find where to put it.

Im gonna stick with my other mame emu for now, wanted to try get hot rod working with this, but no joy still. Guess i'll just keep with nitro for the time being :)

some of the old 80's games like mr.do work ok
p.s. m.a.m.e. is the hardest emulator to make for Handhelds but not impossible
it is just a ton of work

just in case this is the homepage of this port:

http://psp.nukenin.jp/HTM/index_MAME04.html

it has some stand-alone mame compiles that run some other games: turbo outrun , super contra , hammerin harry and some more.

The snk version runs street smart pretty well that's not supported in pspmame4all. Try high frameskip values like 7, it seems to not affect the game too much.

tested with a psp slim.
