Hello, im new to this forum ::)
Im going to program for the dc and i would like som help. I followed a really nice guide i found here. How to make a elf and make it boot on chankast. It worked well.

But now i want to compile an example file, "hello world".
When i run make in cygwin im getting "/Makefile.rules: No such file or directory
make: no rules to make target "/makefile.rules. stop

something like that..Im confused.. Can i program in c++ and run the code on dc? how??

Yes, you can use C++ on Dreamcast. I'd suggest using the latest development branch of KOS, as it's got *much* better C++ support than KOS 1.2.0.

As far as your problem, before you start compiling your code, you should type . ./environ_dc.sh (that's .<space>./environ_dc.sh or . ./whatever_you_named_your_environ_file.sh). If you did that, then double-check that all of the paths in your environment file point to the correct places on your system.
