BootDreams v1.0 Released !

Fackue (http://www.consolevision.com/members/dchelp/?My_Projects:BootDreams) aka LyingWake released BootDreams v1.0 a few days ago.

BootDreams is by far the *BEST* program to create and burn Dreamcast CDs - and on top of that it's FREE !


Changes:
- now uses my own IP.BIN writer code
- now uses my own MR logo code
- rewrote the select CD writer code (should be a little faster)
- rewrote the code that gets the msinfo for Audio/Data CDs
- uses a modifed version of cdi2nero
- merged all shell execution related code
- added a save file dialog
- new look
- rewrote the dummy file code
- included the Nero ASPI

Run CDrecord -scanbus and copy\paste what it says here.

My Symantec Antivirus shows this program up as Trojan.Zlob. I hope this is a false positive. :(

I do not and will not ever add anything to harm someone's computer to any of my programs.

Make sure you only download from my site to be 100% sure it's not repacked with any viruses or anything harmful of any sort.

I haven't had any luck with v1.0 but v0.61 still works great.

...and I still had no chance testing it (got only a few CDRs left atm that I need badly for testing an image I'm working on)

Someone else had the chance testing it ?

PS: I tend to agree with Pavlik on the layout. I really miss the boots ;)

:( You don't like the new layout? Is it just the icon? I thought the layout was a MAJOR improvment. Not only that, but it also used the icons SBInducer uses.

I will get back to you later on today with more details. But I think its not either scrambling 1st_read correctly or IP.BIN is not being generated correctly. I will find out which of the two it is. Doesn't matter if I create the diskjuggler image or burn directly to disc.

But v0.61 still works great. Lastly, I do like the new layout!

I checked everything out and couldn't find any problems to either of the mentioned problem's code.

I'm unsure if periods in the CD label will render the CD image broken so make sure the CD label is alphanumeric with spaces. If anyone has any information on what's allowed in the CD label I can adjust the code to strip any illegal characters.

Will buy me a set of CDRs tomorrow and do some tests.


Also, the layout is okay - I just miss the boots =P The buttons could use some animation when pressed too. Other than that I am sure I'll get used to it - I am very conservative and tend to not like new stuff at times >_<
