Hey humans! So Hastings was telling us the truth (http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/09/chances-of-netflix-on-nintendo-excellent-says-netflix-ceo/) after all -- the Nintendo Wii will be joining the other two game consoles to stream Netflix (http://www.engadget.com/tag/netflix), starting in early Spring. Like the PS3 (http://www.engadget.com/2009/11/06/netflix-instant-streaming-demoed-on-playstation-3-video/), a special Netflix "instant-streaming" disc will be required for the Wii, but there's no mention of HD playback which isn't surprising. There'll be no additional fees for Wii owners who are already on "a Netflix subscription that costs at least $9 a month."
