http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/9/2010/01/500x_puppies.jpgThe Tiger Woods scandal has cost the great golfer his once pristine image. He's still a fantastic athlete; just the populous at large thinks he's a horn dog.
While the affair has meant US$12 billion in lost wealth (http://www.news.com.au/business/tiger-woods-affairs-cost-sponsors-up-to-us12bn/story-e6frfm1i-1225814327649) for sponsors, EA Sports (http://kotaku.com/tag/easports/) stated it would be sticking with Tiger Woods Online.
"Our relationship with Tiger has always been rooted in golf," Moore wrote on his official blog earlier this year (http://kotaku.com/5440009/ea-sticks-with-tiger-woods-online-mum-on-console-games). "We didn't form a relationship with him so that he could act as an arm's length endorser. Far from it. We chose to partner with Tiger in 1997 because we saw him as the world's best, most talented and exciting golfer."
EA Sports told Kotaku that the company was "focused on Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online" whether Peter Moore was referring only to the online game or console games, too.

"By his own admission, he's made some mistakes off the course," Moore added. "But regardless of what's happening in his personal life, and regardless of his decision to take a personal leave from the sport, Tiger Woods is still one of the greatest athletes in history."
Last month, EA Sports announced (http://kotaku.com/5430098/ea-sound-a-little-shakier-on-support-for-tiger-woods), "At this time, the strategy for our Tiger Wood (http://kotaku.com/tag/tigerwood/) PGA Tour business remains unchanged." Times change.
In a third party survey released through Greenfield Online (http://www.greenfieldonline.com/TrafficUI/mscui/page.aspx?cid=1&ptid=4&utcoffset=5) (hosted by survey software developed Askia (http://www.askia.com/solutions)), it seems that EA Sports is less than confident regarding its relationship with the golf superstar. The survey starts with general questions about various sports games and then pops doozies like:

EA SPORTS mades a Tiger Woods video game. Has the controversy made your impressions of EA SPORTS more or less favorable, or has it had no impact?
...and...

Has the controversy made you more or less likely to buy a Tiger Woods related video game in the future?
As Kotaku previously posted, Woods, of course, has lost deals with AT&T and Accenture since a bizarre car crash Nov. 27 stoked rumors of Woods' infidelity, which later exploded into allegations of liaisons with multiple mistresses. Woods has since announced an indefinite leave from the tour while he works to repair his marriage and family life.
Answer these survey questions yourself.

Thanks for the tip, Frank!
