Casual games have thrived in the past year, as demonstrated by the overall 2009 single format charts. While hardcore gaming bastion Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was crowned as the best selling game of 2009 in the UK, a closer look at which titles performed best on each format in the last 12 months shows how casual releases dominated the Nintendo platforms.
Elsewhere, across the Sony and Microsoft platforms traditional titles still dominated.
