Great release. I just wish it had quicktime support, but I suppose there is a licensing fee when you deal with anything related to crApple.

BTW, are there any PMP players that work on fw 2.00?

Why not just downgrade?

Downgrading is an option but maybe LampDev doesnt want to.

Would be nice to have a DivX player for the PSP instead of conversion utillities

Exactly right. I just got the damn thing. I'd like to get my money's worth out of it before attempting anything that might brick it.

I find that strange as well that people have come up with proprietary formats instead of coming up with a way of playing movies without the need to reformat.

My guess is that it's because the PSP lacks the necessary RAM to play super-high def AVI or WMV files.

Umm... I can still play loads of homebrew, play mp4 movies, read books, and surf the web.

Again, no PMP players for 2.0, eh?

Why not use something like they do in the N64 emulators for the bigger roms, hence decreasing the loading time by heaps.

Someone should work on the one that did play Divx and AVI files
PTplayer??

so is it impossible to play xvid.avi.
what not on your psp? psp cannot
handle it ,i know my old ass lap
cant and it has like 64 mb ,im
talking some KAA encodes.

it dont seem right that it just
cannot be done.

It's probably not impossible, it's just that people convert in order to resize the video and compress it.

By making it a pmp format it simplifies the coding process because the input file is relatively uniform rather than tons of different formats, codecs, sizes, ect...

For now, it's all we got. I'll be using MP4 for a bit longer I suppose.

i dont mind useing psp movie creator 7,
it works for most subtitle formats so

but it dont seem right ,even stange if
its possible and noone working on it
kinda makes me wonder.

think ill give this converter a try .
wonder if it will do a KAA encode
subs not showing in them is the
biggest problem i find in these
converters. probably my system
not set right ,
