Proving once again that those who don't watch The Engadget Show (http://www.engadget.com/tag/theengadgetshow) are always going to be one step behind those who do, our latest star guest Erick Tseng (http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/08/the-engadget-interview-erick-tseng-senior-product-manager-of-a/) has dropped a dollop of exclusive wisdom on us: Android's next big iteration will be known as Froyo. That's short for "frozen yogurt" and fits right in line with the zany naming scheme that has delivered us Cupcakes (http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/28/android-1-5-update-for-t-mobile-g1-now-rolling-out-for-real-thi/), Donuts (http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/29/android-1-6-update-for-dev-phone-1-now-available/), and Eclairs (http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/16/android-2-0-given-a-once-over-makes-1-6-look-a-little-dated/) so far. If you had your money on Flan being next in that alphabetical order, sorry to disappoint.
