Following its American cousin (http://mobile.engadget.com/2009/12/08/motorola-droid-finally-rooted/) by just a few short weeks, the Motorola Milestone (http://www.engadget.com/tag/Milestone/) has now been rooted by a handful of enterprising hackers, opening the door to the usual array of forbidden fruits that Moto never intended you to have: WiFi tethering, wacky Sense (http://www.engadget.com/tag/Sense/) ports, fully customized ROMs, and the list goes on. Proceed at your own risk, but seriously -- you don't want to be the one uncool kid on your block with a stock software stack, do you?
