It's 20 per cent faster than the very-buggy 3.5 update, and comes with a novelty Personas theme tool which we'll inevitably play with once and then get bored of. A new plug-in updater will inform the user when something needs to be updated, and speaking of plug-ins, you'll no longer need to install one to watch streaming video—thanks to the improved support for HTML5, which YouTube and Vimeo are both embracing (http://gizmodo.com/5454115/first-youtube-now-vimeo-how-html5-could-finally-kill-flash-video). Unfortunately, Mozilla is using the Ogg Theora codec instead of the H.264 encoding—which Chrome supports.
