Approximately 910,000 copies. In the first four days that the game was on sale, 909,981 copies of Dragon Quest VI were sold in Japan, making it the highest selling DS Dragon Quest remake.
In the first week that Dragon Quest IV DS went on sale in 2007, the game moved 602,000 units. The Dragon Quest V DS remake sold 679,000 in its first week back in 2008.
