It was a little disappointing to hear that EA's NBA Jam (http://kotaku.com/tag/nbajam/) remake was destined for the Wii (http://kotaku.com/5445442/nba-jam-sets-the-wii-on-fire-in-2010), if only because I like my multiplayer a little more convenient. But hey, if it looks this good, I can overlook that.
These screens (well, the first two are screens) were featured in the latest episode of GameTrailers TV (http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/82&ch=4&sd=0?ep=82&ch=4&sd=0), and from the shadows and texturing on the players it looks like it's still an all-2D affair. Which is exactly what was needed.
We'll still need to see it in motion to get a better idea on how this all runs on the Wii, but if you're the type to let early screenshots impress you, then please, be impressed.
