http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/9/2010/02/500x_manbeast.jpgThe young, keyblade-armed hero of the Kingdom Hearts (http://kotaku.com/tag/kingdomhearts/) series, Sora, was once a very different beast, according to creator Tetsuya Nomura (http://kotaku.com/tag/tetsuyanomura/). Part lion, part man, part lumberjack, the Sora of old looked very different.
According to an interview with Nomura in Famitsu, by way of Andriasang (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/02/06/tetsuya_nomura_on_sora/), Sora was more Beast from Beauty and the Beast than pleasant spike-haired chap. That design was eventually changed to add more curvature and less furry look.
Nomura doesn't have much to say about the next Kingdom Hearts game after Birth By Sleep, noting that one of the creative teams is busy focusing on Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The other? Maybe they could do it...
