well kind of a gray area, as they are modifed dreamcasts, not endorsed by sega. It would be the same as buy any moded consoled

If Sega doesn't mind, why should we? Besides, it keeps the Dreamcast legacy living on a bit. :)

technically they are illegal. they change the copyrighted and patented hardware layout without any permission or licence and they sell it under a new name - also without a licence, which i think is some kinda trademark infringement...
most important is: sega isn't in the hardware business any more, so who cares. noone does. thats why you can buy handheld nes', treamcasts and other modified pirate versions of old consoles nowadays
