Shipping on May 18th along with its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 cohorts, the Wii version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands takes a decidedly different path from the other console versions. Instead of travelling to his brother's kindgom as he does in the 360 and PS3 games (http://kotaku.com/5426046/prince-of-persia-forgotten-sands-is-a-prequel-and-a-sequel), in the Wii title the Prince of drawn to a mysterious realm where he must use his acrobatics to survive and his mastery over sand to reveal hidden pathways.
As with the more powerful console versions, the Prince will also be dabbling with new nature-based magical powers, which he'll need in order to make it through this 15 hour long adventure.
According to the announcement press release, Ubisoft's Quebec City Studio is putting the Wii through a vigorous workout with The Forgotten Sands, pushing out visuals that could easily have been taken from a higher-end original Xbox title. It looks lovely, certainly, but I'm withholding judgment until I see the game in motion.
