The announcement of Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Sega's episodic, downloadable return to 2D hedgehog platforming on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and WiiWare was exciting, but lacking in both screen shots and video. That's why we have leaks.

Sexy as hell. Would be cool if the title was playable on the PSP. Or a psp version released.

Yea a good PSP or DS version would be killer, or better yet put out a Dreamcast Special Edition Limited Ultra Rare Boxed Set!!!

I don't want leaks, because with the original series there were no leaks of screenshots unless you purchased the gaming magazines who would preview a title months in advance to promote the sales or the interest of the potential readers. If SEGA are staying true to the originals, nobody will know until they've purchased the game. The official website is keeping it's secrets on a timer based system, which reminds me of having to wait a month for the next SEGA Magazine (they were mostly all SEGA in the early 90's).

With it being available on the PlayStation Store, it will be available for the PSP... I will be opting for the PS3 version, for the high definition. :p

They (possibly) will, because SEGA aren't the same as they were 20 years ago. Hopefully, they wont damage the classic sonic series like they did with the newer Sonic titles.


Dreamcast Special Edition Limited Ultra Rare Boxed Set!!!

Sonic 4 would actually pre-date the Dreamcast by at least three to four years (if continued at the time 94/95), a MegaDrive concept box would be nice though, like what Capcom did with MegaMan 9 (http://wa4.images.onesite.com/capcom-unity.com/user/johndmoney/mega_man_9_press_kits_front.jpg) (NES style box - NES cartridge CD case). :cool:

There is no way the Sega Genesis could do those type of graphics on that system. Yes it is 2D but the backgrounds are light years ahead of what the Genesis could deliver! Plus if you hadn't noticed I was being sarcastic!

If Tails isn't in the first episode you can bet he will show up in later ones along with knuckles, etc.

3rd: Knuckles added
4th: Amy added

And it's all downhill from there

I just hope it's true to it's origins. Not the more recent garbage they have started adding in.

Sonic was always one of those games you could easily pick up, and play for 20 minutes, or for 3 hours.

3rd: Knuckles added
4th: Amy added

And it's all downhill from there

Sonic 3.2 (Sonic & Knuckles) Sonic and Knuckles, Tails if completed Sonic 3.

Amy never made it to the original series, except for Sonic CD where the character isn't playable.
