Ok, i have an idea, i will try it later, but if you have the fonthacker app to add a custom font to ur psp you should be able to use custom fonts in 2.71. Here's how, just pick a font, install with fonthacker, then boot up the installer on the psp, this re-routes the portion of the flash1 that deals with the font to the mem stick so that it reads from the mem stick the font without the chance of bricking. Anyhow, since flash1 is the registry part of the firmware, just go into the devhook firmware installers and install 2.71, and when its done it asks you if you want to copy the registry from your 1.5 to the new 2.71 firmware. Click the button to do so, not the one to exit. Then when you boot up 2.71 in devhook it should have loaded the font from the memstick as 1.5 would have because it has the same registry values to look there for the font. just a thought.
