Whats the newest Custom Firmware for PSP 1000s ?

hey all, been using 5.00 M33-6 on my 2 psp1000s for as long as i remember, which is the best firmware to upgrade to for Custom Firmware on the PSP 1000 ?

is it 5.50 gen d3 ?

best cfw? that question is going to be a matter of personal preference.

you have 2 camps - 5.00m33-6 or the latest GEN-X CFW.

there are implications of going either cfw.

for instance, the m33 cfw has the 1.50 add-on kernel for the phats - not sure if the gen-x does have this add-on or not. implications here about older homebrew running on these cfw.

another instance is that the gen-x cfw would be more compatible with newer homebrew - though there are fixes to get these newer homebrew to run on the m33 cfw.

if you looked thru the gen-x cfw - you would have noticed each latest version addresses some bugfixes. so it would make sense to go for the d3-final, no?

either stick with those m33 or go to gen-d3 final - they are you're two sensible options. why not leave one phat on m33 and try the gen-d3 on the other? then you have the best of both worlds...
