* This news is to stay private *

Ok here is the low down. Thanks to Malkster, I will now be putting M64 on ice (till I get a 64DD unit for emulation). I will now be taking over PSPSOne from PacManFan. He has been still working on it all this time but stoped due to a lack of time. So the project has now been transfered over to me. It actualy has quite a bit done but I need to do alot to fix it up (its on pspGl, YUCK!). It already has a dynamic recompiler started but has a cache issue that stops it from working.

So pretty much the news is that I am going to finish up where pacmanfan left off. While I have no plans on making this emu perfect (I dont wish to hurt sony's sales with their emu), I would like to atleast make a first release which will run at or above 30fps for some games.

Even tho I am taking this on, My Compo entries & KohKai engine are my top priority from now till the end of august. This mostly will be replacing my work on m64 since I feel less of a need to rush with StrmnNrmn doing a great job on daedalus (i'm more incline to help him get his up to speed then to have m64 running full speed).

That be all.

It's not major but it's still cool.

Wow, that is good news. I'm sure everyone was wondering what would happen to PSPSOne and they'll be delighted when they know it's in good hands.

Of course, we'll keep it hush hush until you decide to let people know.

Yeah. Sadly there was a leak issue this morning. After recent talks on the main page asking what was up, someone checked an old link and obtain the recent source. So hopefuly I can get people to quiet down on it.

Well, sad news about M64 but nice suprise with the PSPSone!

If you can get it running at anything approaching a playable speed I will be chuffed to bits. (a good thing!) :)

( Either that or someone better make a FF7 remake! )

:P - The PSP is capable of running ps1 games, is it not?

What were the actual spec's of the PS1?

personaly I give up on this project atm. I asked pacmanfan, he took the src down but put it back up.

If its gonna be like that then I really dont feel like continuing his work. I'd rather just write my own, specialy since his src is a total mess fest. It would take the same time to write a new emu vs clean up the src.
