Had Wii connecetd to my system when I had a Pace PVR as follows;
Wii connected to Pioneer plasma via composite.
Pace PVR connecetd to TV via Scart and to audio amp (digital amp only) via Toslink. Everything worked.
Now replaced the Pace with a Humax PVR, Wii connected to TV via Component (all 5 leads) but there's no way I can get sound.
The TV has no audio amplification / speakers of its own. Sources that feed the TV a picture (PS3, PVR etc) have to have audio sent directly to amp (remember, PCM digital only, no analogue) via Toslink.
How can I get a digital audio signal from the Wii to the amp and how on earth did it all work when I had the Pace. Is the Scart a two way connection and the composite feed into the Tv was being redirected to the Pace via Scart and thence to the amp via Toslink.
I'm confused.
