"I think we will continue to save Mario for our own platforms", Nintendo of America's Cammie Dunaway, executive vice president of sales and marketing, told VentureBeat. "It's one of the secret weapons we have. Mario and Zelda are intellectual property that is important to us and will only be seen on Nintendo platforms."
Shame. You'd hope Nintendo would be a little more forward-looking, and at the very least realise Facebook games (or even applications) can serve as advertisements for full-blown console releases, but then, this is Nintendo we're talking about. And the internet. The two have never really seen eye-to-eye.
