IGN has posted a preview of Dead Rising. Capcom has recently released a built that is 95% completed. IGN was able to get ahold of one and has released a preview of the game.
The game stars Frank West who must survive 72 hours in a mall full of zombies. The rate of time passage is 1 game hour to every real 5 minutes. The clock does not run when one of them any cut-scenes are being shown.
The player must complete the story missions called Cases which are split into 8 sections. The cases must be done and if the player does not reach the spot of the next case at the right time, you will be forced to reload. There are side quests you can take on to save people in the mall for big amounts of experience points. This seems to also be the biggest way to get the experience points.
