Warmtoe just released an update of BlackAura's Genesis Plus DC with some enhancements he has been working on:

I know you've all been waiting for this for some time, BA has gone quiet, and I've stopped working on it... so I thought I'd dump it on you!

As usual with my stuff, there are things to tweak to improve performance, you can select different CPU sets etc...

Download the SBI of GPWT-3c from DCHelp's SBI File Repository (http://dchelp.net/cgi-bin/sbi/browse/browse.cgi?browse&Emus) (The new version is called 'GenesisPlusDC-gpwt.240706.Warmtoe.sbi' - use with SBInducer v4)

I just gave it a quick test run with Sonic The Hedgehog, Revenge of Shinobi and Streets of Rage and I have to say that I am very impressed by the performance so far.

Edit: I've updated the Dreamcast-Scene.com WIKI article (http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.php/Main/GenesisPlusDC) for GenesisPlusDC with some info and also updated my tutorial (http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.php/Main/GenesisPlusDC-How-to-burn) on how to burn it using SBInducer v4's 'SBI2Boot' feature.

A compatibility list is located here (http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.php/Main/GenesisPlusDC-GPWT3c-Compatibility). You can contribute your reports by clicking this link (http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.php/Main/GenesisPlusDC-GPWT3c-Compatibility?action=edit) and edit the list.

Straight from the readme:

There is no directory browsing - just that fixed list of names for that fixed list of games.

You put your ROMS (can be zipped) in the directory:

Inducer\gpwt-3c\data\ROMS

It also expects to find a file:

Inducer\gpwt-3c\data\ROMS.txt

In ROMS.TXT you can put the names you want to see displayed:

SHINOBI.ZIP The Revenge of Shinobi
SONIC_THE_HEDGEHOG.ZIP Sonic The Hedgehog
STREETS_OF_RAGE.ZIP Streets of Rage

As it seems you can put really loooooong names for your ROMs.

For my tests I've used 'CPU: FAME' and 'Render: HW' and was very pleased with the result: Full speed emulation and no more skipping audio :)

Yeah. You can select either HW (hardware renderer written by BlackAura, using the Dreamcast's PowerVR II DC, very fast but inaccurate in a few games) or SW (standard software renderer of GenesisPlusDC by Charles MacDonald, a bit slower but accurate).

So far I noticed problems with the HW in Streets of Rage II but Streets of Rage I and III (I tried the JP version: Bare Knuckle III) both run pretty flawless with the HW except for some minor glitches at the title/intro screens.

It's quie disappointing that BA had gone and no one worked on it anymore.
This emu is dead before it supports the vmu saving.
What a pity !
Chui didn't come here for a long time , did he give up his projects either ?

ZERO TOLERANCE
WWF WRESTLEMANIA THE ARCADE GAME
BOOGERMAN
STREET OF RAGE 1,2,3

Хороший эмуль
В большинстве игр полная скорость и качественный звук
Вот несколько протестенных мною игр которые идут с полной скоростью и нормальным звуком

The compatibility is not ideal , many games would crash the emu and some games would get black screen :(
Light Crudes (U) crashed the EMU (FAME & HW).
Most games could not run properly with the set of FAME & HW.
As before , Super Street Fighter 2 is not playable, we will get red screen after game is loaded.
Maybe a perfect GEN EMU 4 DC will be completed by CHUI if there's nobody going to work on it any longer.

I started UMK 3 on emulator and see inscription
This game NTSC and not support the Genesis system.
Anew write emulator for one plays of no desire want to ask how work UMK 3 on Genesis Plus DC?

Я запустил игру UMK 3 на эмуле генезис плюс и увидел надпись что игра нтск и не подерживается Генесис.
Заново писать эмулятор из за одной игры желания нет поэтому хотел спросить как он работает?

That is because of the country protection. In its current version, Genesis Plus DC prefers American ROMs (marked with (U) ). Maybe try UMK 3 [h1] or [h2] ?

Try C68K & HW then.

As before , Super Street Fighter 2 is not playable, we will get red screen after game is loaded.

Try Street Fighter II Turbo.

This is a beta version. Give BlackAura some time ;)

Btw, I've just set up a page over at Dreamcast-Scene.com to gather all compatibility reports:

Everyone can contribute by editing the page and post their reports:

я хотел спросить запускается ли игра на эмуляторе? какая скорость и звук у нее?

I think it could work with Chankast. Just try it. ;)

I do not know. I have not tested that game.

This game NTSC and not support the Genesis system.

There's a new version out that features region settings (which should fix the problem with UMK3):
