I think you should change the question to what games have you played and wanted to complete and not felt obligated to because you spent good money on it.. Apart from old emulated games i play in the last year i only really wanted to complete Gears of war 2, MW2 and GoW CoE.

Back in the day I would buy every Sierra Adventure Game to hit the shelves and spend a couple 3 weeks playing them to completion. If I got stuck I would buy their invisiclues books, go on BBS's in the Portland Oregon area, buy the PC Strategy Magazine, or call Sierra's 900 # for hints (but this was expensive).

When Leisure Suite Larry first came out (and I was about 16 at the time) I rented it from Software Pipeline (back in the day when Rated T or M wasn't around and no one carded you) and told my Dad I was sick so I could stay home all day and play it. I don't know how my friends (and practically everyone) at school found out I had sluffed school to play a soft porn game but they did and were harassing me about it and asking me how the game was. How much skin it showed, etc. I finished that game in one sitting without a hint book. We only had a hercules graphics card and an amber monitor (orange), but that was a lot of fun.

I love Sierra Adventure games, too bad they got sold to Vivendi who is now Activision.

Practicality most games ive owned, and if not then it's because it was crap lol but with online now i still play the story first... i think online play has taken some people's true gaming, like the first thing they'd say is "can't wait to play it online"

This is a silly question, I've completed too many games to list. About half the games I've played I'd say, and the other half were too hard, too boring or badly made so I didnt bother. Some were also impossible to complete due to looping or bugs.

Some of the games I saw through to the end I still replay now, I'll list some of them:

Dizzy Adventures (except Crystal Kingdom which was crap, integrity sold and format changed to cash in)
Super Mario Bros. games: 1, 2, 3, World, NSMB, NSMBWii, SML, SML2
Knight Lore
Lemmings
Spindizzy (with help!)
Zelda 2 (finally beat that final palace last year after about 12 years of trying!)
Manic Miner

I cant even remember half the games I've played.
