No surprise here: Sony just officially announced the PlayStation Move motion controller (http://www.engadget.com/tag/playstationmotioncontroller) at GDC 2010, calling it the "next generation of motion gaming" because it's so precise. We're waiting to see some game demos right now -- and we're dying to hear about pricing and availability. As expected, it uses the PlayStation Eye camera to track the controller, and Sony says it becomes an "extension of your body." The plan is not only to engage casual games, but to use the precision of the controller to create "new experiences for core gamers."PlayStation Move motion controller launched at GDC (http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/10/playstation-move-motion-controller-launched-at-gdc/) originally appeared on Engadget (http://www.engadget.com) on Wed, 10 Mar 2010 19:06:00 EST.
