Here is a new release of Portable VNC for FW 1.5 only.

What's new in version 1.2.2 :

- Fix the bug with DHCP on FW 1.5

* HOME key has been remapped to LTrigger+Start *

it lets you control your pc through the psp and view whats on the pc on your psp screen, and that is just so damn cool :D

Been such a long time since I used VNC, any chance of a future port of "Logmein.com" to control my computer? Then again logmein does change/update thier software like every damn month.

he updates his gba emu almost everyday man be patient he'll release something new soon :D

you have to click it and move the mouse off whatever your clicking, also its easier to right click and select open, again move the mouse after you click it

So... if I set this up, can I access my home pc from work, by jumping onto my workplace's wireless network with my PSP? Or is this only for use with your own router, in close proximity to your PC?

this is one of the coolest pieces of homebrew. This is almost like having Windows XP on the psp.

The game mode is supposed to be for using the psp as a gamepad, right? What are the controls and how would I configure my games for it? I'd love to use it with vba and control it from bed :3

What are the error messages ? Did you succeed to connect to your wifi network ? did the error occur after the wifi connection ?

Yeah zx-81, me too!!

First of all, I'm a huge fan of yours... thanks a lot for all the programs, you saved my PSP life =P
But I'm having a hard time making the Portable VNC work, I tried to use the TightVNC server on my desktop and it didn't work (even if i tried to connect FROM my desktop TO my own desktop and connect FROM the PSP TO my own desktop)

So, I tried RealVNC wich worked connecting FROM my desktop TO my own desktop, but when I use the client on the psp and insert the new host IP, name, and stuff... it just shows on the top "PortableVNC: 0 Hosts Loaded" (wich is the same message I got when serving with tightVNC)

I've tried the local IP of my desktop computer in my on network (192.168.0.100) and my router's IP in the internet (and making a port-forward for the server) but none of those worked for the PSP client...

The PSP and the desktop are connected to the same router (PSP = 192.168.0.101, Desktop = 192.168.0.100 and router = 192.168.0.1)

I think the network is working fine because every other PSP program that uses the network runs fine...

Anyway... please help!!

I just found the reason...
You can't change the name of the folders in your MS... or it won't be able to create the connection file.

I noticed when I was playing with this that it had an xbox icon does that mean I can set up a server on my xbox and view/control it with the psp?

i am running 2.71-SE B'' and get a corrupted icon when i goto the games. but if i put on the 1.5 version i have the program icon there but when i try to start it just powers off my psp.
is this compatible with dark alex's 2.71 SE-B''

This sounds awesome! But I can't get it to work with my psp which is running fw 2.71. Can't downgrade since TA-082. Am I doing something wrong or does this just not work with 2.71:(

does anybody know how what the 5900 at the end means, and mine keeps giving me the error -1 /111
