Fw 2.80 Decrypted

I was looking around the main PSP news sites (Including DC emu :D ). I went on PSP-Hacks and found this had been posted.
GmDude66 has decrypted the latest firmware,2.80!
Heres what the post said:

Please note 2.80 has yet to be emulated with DevHook - this is just the first step - a decrypted copy of ‘reboot.bin’ is still required.

Attached is a revised version of BOOSTER’s DevHook Firmware installer:

1. copy the contents of this zip archive to “ms0:/PSP/GAME”
2. extract “DATA.PSAR” from the 2.80 EBOOT update [using PBP Unpacker] and copy it to the root of your memory stick (ms0:/)
3. run this app. The result: a 2.80 dump in “ms0:/dh/280″

As it said,It cant be emulated on Devhook yet because a decrypted copy of ‘reboot.bin’ is still required. :(

All the breakthroughs came out as soon as I updated to 2.71 :rolleyes:
Youl have to wait a bit longer till its emulated but im sure the wait will be worth it ;)

I tried decrypting it right away. the decompress works fine, but that prx decrypter doesn't. It looks like it does something, but just dumps a bunch of empty files

Exactly. Go read the DevHook 0.46 at QJ. It can not be decrypted yet.

The guy is from qj that supposingly did this. Trust me, its not decrypted. Even psp-hacks says it is only extracted now.
