StrmnNrmn (http://strmnnrmn.blogspot.com/) posted this news of his Nintendo64 emulator for the PSP.

Fixed!

I'm very pleased to be able to say that I've finally managed to fix the nasty bug I blogged about on Thursday.

I'll go into more details in a later post, but in essence the problem was due to very rare situations where the trace recorder would exit a trace when there was still a branch delay instruction pending. This caused the fragment generator to inadvertently skip the branch instruction, causing the odd behaviour I was seeing.

For reference, here are some updated figures for Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart (initial results are from a previous post). Generally the current changes seem to indicate an overall speedup of 20%-25%, which is great for a few days work. What's even better is that I've still not implemented all the optimisations that I have planned for R7, so hopefully these numbers will look even better soon.

StrmnNrmn (http://strmnnrmn.blogspot.com/) has gained up to 5FPS on some games on this news.

You know, it may be blasphemy to say this but I was never really excited about N64 emulation on the PSP because I did not expect it to progress much.

But I must say, once again, it is proven that time always yields good things for the PSP. This news about R7 is very exciting. I am really impressed at the progress that is being reported.

Great work all the way!

i'm really excited, and so happy that StrmnNrmn is putting a lot of effort into this, and really progressing well.

but the only thing bugging me is the fact that the n64 controller is nothing like the psp's interface, and could really screw things up. the c-buttons and z-button are really important,....ah well, i'm sure there will be/are solutions to this.

I am not very excited because I think one needs to be careful not to over estimate the speed increases. It is great news to hear that a major bug has been fixed though.

It's sad to see people go "I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY ZELDA YAY" when they're not actually going to be playing it as much as they are going to be watching it render.

I assume it refers to the Gulf War US general "Stormin'" Norman Schwarzkopf.

For me, Deadalus could mean Sony's PSOne emulator would be useless. For every great PSOne game, there is a better one on the N64. That combined with far smaller ROM sizes makes this one hell of a project.

You will go down as a god in the world of PSP.

alright, you can have that. N64 didnt have any good turn based RPG's, but it did have zelda, an action RPG of sorts.

I think that R7 is going to be a great improvement. I cannot wait to be able to play Zelda on the PSP. But my worries are what if they find out they can only improve it soo much? sorta like the GBA emulator! lol oh well, its still really freakin cool to see the Super Mario 64 on the PSP.
