would it be possible to hook up the psp to ps2 via usb . possibility would be psp on tv or even ps2 on psp like using the psp screen as a mini ps2 screen and you can use the psp buttons for ps2 through usb or via infared like the psp remote

It sounds like a good idea and is probably possible although only for us 1.50 users unless of course it was included in a firmware update. :)

You can already hook up to a ps2 with maxmedia although it's only to back up your ps2 gamesaves nothing too advanced yet that I've seen

Heres my view of whats possible here:

1. I dont think its going to be possible for the psp to be used as a mini screen unless someone develops hardware for the psp to be connected to the tv-out port at the back of the PS2, besides... whats the point when the tv is right in front of you anyway?

2. PSP as a PS2 Controller can probably be done.... but have to remember that is no R2, L2, R3 and L3 buttons.

3. PSP to tv..... doesnt that need extra hardware? again.

well on ign they said you can play ps2 games wirelessly on a psp with a psx

They are probably referring to the completely seperate PSX that was only sold in Japan and was also a DVR and played PS1 and PS2 games.

i guess this is somewhat possible with movies... since ive allready used my psp to watch movies(Read Naruto) on the ps2 with SMS media player...
so it is possible but depends on what you want it to do
