Since it has been mentioned recently that using exploits is technically illegal
should we begin to move to 1.0 from 1.5 since 1.0 required no exploit thus squashing the exploitation is illegal argument? Also we would need working firmware emulator builds for 1.0.

Everything is technically illegal in some way, so who cares. Plus, if you were to downgrade to 1.0 you would have to use an exploit to do so.

Yes it would take an exploit to get there but once there no more exploits.I know devhook doesn't work on 1.0 thats why I said we need working firmware emulator builds. This would also clean up alot of the mess on 1.5 such as kxloit,SCE naming conventions, and firmware patches to hide corrupt data,I feel like 1.0 was not used to it's full potential

download custom firmware, it's the best way, like i make mine use custom prx's to take screenshots and use "dual-boot" so i pull w-lan on then it launches dev-hook but off it is 1.5 and still launches 1.0 eboots so no exploit is needed

I already use custom firmware and dual boot 2.71,and would much prefer to end any legality issues

Really there isnt a reason to downgrade to 1.0. The only different between 1.0 and 1.5 mainly was that sony patched the homebrew. We have already hacked that and gotten homebrew to run off of the XMB. From what Ive heard, the reason Devhook and the other FW emulators do not work on 1.0 is the fact that the Syscalls are different on 1.0 and 1.5. Right now, 1.5 is the best FW to date, as it doesnt have any limitations really.

What the last fellow said is very true, now someone please make a Wipeout save data exploit so I can unbrick my PSP and get back in the scene, dammit!

I'm willing to give up a 1GB stick and 4 UMD Movies.
