The self-described Most Powerful Name in News has entered the app space with an app that delivers new alerts, 'fair and balanced headline news stories', live video, radio, photo galleries, clips on demand and more. It's free, but has an exclusive sponsor in Sprint for the next month.
Top stories and videos cycle through the app every few seconds, and the actual FOX News Channel ticker scrolls across the bottom of the screen.
Fox News Channel is one the last news organisations to enter the mobile app space. However, it says it will launch more products, with paid apps due for release later this year.
The rival CNN iPhone app has held the number one slot in paid news apps since it first went on sale last September for $1.99.
