Can anyone gve me an estimate on how big the games will be?. I assume they`ll be the same as their downloadable ISO counterparts.

Anyone have a idea?. Will my 512 stick do?. :(

sony will probably resize them to fit on cards il predict most games will be about 400meg.
but thats just my guess becuase why would sony release all parts of the ff series imagine FF games 3cds! that each one 600meg. that wont fit on any normal card.

Yeah, the games will probably be shrunk because the only people who have giant memory sticks are those who use isos.

They'll be about 25% of the original.

I think sony may surprise us all by using new compression tecniques to make the files very small to accomodate people with small memory sticks. If indeed they are run from memory stick they may release games in umd format.

They have to be compressed... My FF7 is over 1.6 gb, and thats only three disks... If i remember correctly, the most disks for a game are 5 (Myst)

Sony will try to make even more profit by forcing you to get a bigger memorycard.

From what I heard, the PS1 discs had uncompressed textures and files because the PS1 console wasn't powerful enough to decompress compressed files. However, I'm sure the PSP is much more powerful, so it could be compressed quite a bit. Compare a N64 catridge that has a game that's exactly the same as a PS1 disc. Wasn't it much smaller? They'll probably do something like that.
