UK charity GamesAid is to release a triple pack of games for the PlayStation 3 in order to raise funds.

The games, which have all been donated to the project by their publishers are Tomb Raider: Underworld from Square Enix, SEGA Superstars Tennis and FUEL from Codemasters.

The triple pack will go on sale on June 25 at an SRP of £29.99, and all of the profits will go to GamesAid charities, which aim to help children and young people.

Sony has supported the project, with GamesAid partners including The Producers, Fink Creative, Mastertronic and Indigo Pearl all assisting with bringing the pack to market.

"We are delighted to be supporting GamesAid in this venture. It's good for the industry as a whole, and we're proud to be involved," said Ray Maguire, Sony's UK MD.

"Not only does this triple pack raise money for our charities, it also raises awareness of GamesAid at consumer level. We now look forward to retail getting behind it and giving it the push it deserves," added Andy Payne, chairman of GamesAid.

I remember when the PlayStation had a charity pack (HELP (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/9/945669_101151_front.jpg)), which retailed at either £14.99 or £19.99.

It's good to see that developers can release their (slightly older) games somewhat cheaper in a cross-publisher charity pack, where they increase someones gaming collection whilst themselves donating their profits to a charity.
