Okay, there's a place near my home that allows you to trade in tickets from redemption machines, right?

Well, I saved like 15000 tickets over the past years.

Should I use them for an AR DS or a brand new PSP?

How would I go about downgrading a brand new PSP?

Well tell me first, PSP or AR?

Don't you already own a DS? Get a PSP and own the best of both worlds...Or I suppose you could get the AR DS and sell or trade your original DS for a PSP...It's really up to you man, but since you already own a DS...I'd get the PSP.

That hat PSP Giga Pack will be like 20k tickets, I think...but not tough at all.

Whoops! Sorry, didn't know what AR stood for...lol. I thought it was somekind of modded DS...But yeah, get a PSP and you could probably get the Action Replay for your DS later.

Yeah.

PSP Will be sweet, unless they want 30k tickets...then, it's the DS AR...

Giga pack means only a slight chance that you will be able to downgrade (all the new giga packs have a TA-082 motherboard which are non downgradble, but the older giga packs have a TA-081 which can be downgraded.) Even if you get a TA-082 you could still use eloader to run most homebrew.

Including Emus?

I mean if I can't I'll sell it to local kids and then pick up a 1.5 on Ebay or something.

Yes you will be able to use some emus with eloader, but if its a TA-082 I would reccomend selling it and getting a 1.5.

Guys, first, HOW do I know how to tell what the motherboard is in a Gigapack?

Guys, first, HOW do I know how to tell what the motherboard is in a Gigapack? You can see what firmware your psp has by looking at a letter on the left side of the box under the amount of volts the psp uses (i.e A=1.5 B=1.51 to see what the rest of what letters go with what firmwares google it). And as far I know the only way to check to see if your psp has a TA-082 is to look inside the UMD drive.
