yo guys !!!! need help!!!

i well just want to say that is relay worth downgrading my psp and that what is the great thing apart from homebrew? i mean i realy dont want do ruin my psp or brick it iv got the new (easy downgrader and well i need some advice shall i realy do it? lol. i have a 2.6 psp and if i g et a good result from this i will rent gta.:confused:

First of if you can downgrade to 1.50 you can play your umds up to version 2.71 psp using devhook 0.45. And yes you can play homebrew and all the classic counsils &roms ever made that work with the psp. CPS1 , MAME , NES , SNES , SMS , SGG , NES , SNES , NEC 16 , ATARI , MSX , GBC , GBA , NEO GEO , NEOGEO CD , to name a few.

is it a factory 2.5/2.6 and does it have ta-82 board

Well you can play a huge amount of emulators and homebrew games and still play all currently released games. So you get to have your cake and eat it too. Also buy GTA as it's such a good game. Make sure you get the right version though that doesn't have the exploit patched. IE: buy a used older version with the 2.0 update.

if your 100% sure its not a TA-082, then use the easy downgrader: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=28181&highlight=easy+downgrader

totally worth it dude, did mine and my two bros and we all love it :D, everything that didn't work on 2.6 we have plus devhook so we have fw up to 2.71, not to mention the custom fws

Also remember that there will be much more homebrew on the PSP. I expect some full speed N64 and Playstation emulation some day.

Open the UMD slot and take a look in the top-right corner for the digits "IC1003"

Aww hell, i have one. So this means that i can't downgrade the firmware, or just that there will be risks. And are the risks high like can permanantly damage my firmware/ psp?

Nope sorry, any PSP with those digits can not currently be downgraded. Attempting to downgrade it will result in a bricked PSP.

Dang. Sorry to keep on asking questions that are probably obvious to you but is there any way i can play homebrews, or do i have to do the whole gta process?
