Five-a-side footie game Pure Football has been given a lower RRP than usual – with a £29.99 price set by Ubisoft.
The title, which went on sale last Friday, is one third cheaper than most PS3 and Xbox 360 games which usually have an RRP of £44.99 or £49.99.
It’s the latest new release to be badged at a price somewhere between the standard and the traditional budget range of £19.99 to £24.99. Earlier this year Namco Bandai’s Clash of Titans also received a £29.99 RRP.
The news comes following comments from Namco Bandai VP Olivier Comte and Doctor Who developer Charles Cecil who have both told MCV that games are too expensive.
