The beast has arived. My 64DD unit has showed up today and I gave it a quick go to make sure everything was alright.

Over all the system, box & parts (randnet disk, modem, ...) are in great shape. Unit is a little dirty but thats fine. :) Everything boots up great.

So what does this mean? I need a flash cart :P

I'll post more info later down the line when i get somewhere with debugging the unit. So untill then enjoy the pictures.

Also small note. I sadly only got the randnet disk with my unit. If anybody could donate me some DD games or better yet just sell them to me at a reasonble price (ie less then the ebay rip offs atm) that would be much apreciated. :D

What games were released for the 64DD and were any of them good? I also wonder if it will be emulated one day.

Neo Flash is working on a N64 flash cart which if I remember, is going to have 64DD support.

Wii,

Phase 3 complete. Just secured a V64jr 256 Flash cart (I need this model since it does not use the bottom port like the V64 does, Also prefer the V64jr over the Z64). Just gotta wait 1-2 weeks for it to arive.

Next phase is hacking the ipl4rom with new code.

Nope. Checked their site. only mention of DD suport is a request which is not feezable without some device plugged into the bottom.

Plus no public DD rips exsist. The few people with actual rips are never going to make them public.

You mean DD Games?

They're gonna be complicated.

Maybe I am not following, but if no public rips exist, then what would be the purpose of including support for the games? Is it just doing it to do it, or is it for people who have the games/rips?

Because I also plan to figure out tools to allow people to rip their DD games. As well once DD emulation exsist, rips will show up.

Why would the group that has them post them when there is no use for them still.

Makes sense. I assume then that they can play their rips on their DD hardware, eh?

N64 DD??? disk drive??? never heard of it, does it have any original games, or just spiffed up versions of regular n64 games? I imagine that even if people started posting rips, they would still be kinda hard to get a hold of.
