Do you like games so old they look like they're made out of ceefax? Then you might be interested to know that a special event aimed right at you is set to take place next month.

Titled Retro Fusion: A Weekend of Gaming, it's the sequel to last year's Retro Ball, and it's scheduled for September 30th - October 1st. The event will take place at the Kenilworth Wardens Cricket Club Ground, which is somewhere outside London, and tickets are priced £10 for the Saturday, £7.50 for the Sunday or £15 for the whole shebang. Or five guineas, eight shillings and a shiny tuppence-ha'penny, most probably.

So what do you get for your money? Well, apparently the event will be even bigger and better than last year's, with all manner of arcade cabinets, old days consoles and computers the size of cars to play with. Plus, for the really really old, some pinball and pachinko.

Jamma+, UKRetro, Console Passion, Retro Passion and Retro Gamer will all be making an appearance - as will a veritable array of "retro celebrities", including Archer Maclean, Andy Nuttal, The Oliver Brothers, Jon Hare and Oli Frey.

They'll be taking part in a Q&A, probably about how old games are really good and modern days games are really rubbish, and who needs more than four TV channels anyway, and there definitely weren't any types of that sort hanging round playgrounds in the fifties.

The event is sponsored by Taito, the publisher, of course, behind the Taito Legends compilations. There will be a PSP Taito Legends high score competition, with a brand new PSP to be won.
