Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II will not be released for Sony's PSP this fall, a LucasArts representative confirmed to IGN.

The company declined to offer comment on the game's cancellation. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II for PSP was originally scheduled to ship on October 26, 2010.

Versions of the game for PC, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and iPhone are still in development.

What the hell? The DS and iPhone get it but not the PSP? Ridiculous!

It's never a suprise when a Psp game gets cancelled, especially with a game aimed more to the west on a Psp that's going through a slow and painfull death unless Sony gets off it's arse and either fix or replace it.

If Peace Walker can only sell 50K copies in the US, why would Lucas Arts even bother releasing the game?
I love the PSP, but Sony US has let it die and they have no plan to save it.

It is a very sad situation...

It might smell like it's coming but my crystal balls say it will be overpriced for at least 18 months and it's potential constantly pissed away, now i'll just zip them up for future predictions.

A PSP2 might very well be coming, but with the line up and features the Nintendo 3DS appears to be promising, I find it hard to see Sony actually competing in the handheld market. Sony really need to buck up their ideas as far as it goes for consoles, or just simply become a software manufacturer for the likes of Microsoft or Nintendo. They are lagging far behind on every front, and I don't see that changing any time soon, no matter how well Playstation Move or their next handheld does.
