What did happen? I googled and nothing at all, and what is this "Trampalien Gunmen DC" that I found here (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/archive/index.php/t-1960.html)?

For the lazy:

News Source = DC Homebrew:[br][br]As you may know by now, the winners of the Dream On Dreamcast coding competition have been announced. Five entries were submitted: Boll (a multiplayer ball rolling combat game) by quarn, Maqiupai (http://jm1200.ifrance.com/jm1200/maqiupai/) (a Mahjong game) by JMD, Inhabitants (http://sfsoftware.zophar.net/) (a puzzle game) by S+F Software, Whispered Secrets (http://imrtechnology.ngemu.com) (a choose your own adventure game) by Ian Micheal, and Trampalien Gunmen DC (http://www.storm-studios.net/GPF/) (a two player trampolining shooting game) by GPF.[br][br]Out of the five, three winners were selected (the top two of which get a commercial run of thier game by The Goat Store (http://www.goatstore.com)):[br]1. Inhabitants[br]2. Maqiupai[br]3. Boll[br][br]Congratulations to all the winners. Really old thread, I know...

but I wonder what happend to Boll ?

Nothing happened really. I just got a job and moved countries and have been busy ever since so it never got anywhere.

I've decided to open source the code used to create the "3d engine (https://github.com/quarnster/libq3d)" and the game itself (https://github.com/quarnster/boll). The code is ugly and don't ask me how to compile it because I have no idea :)

I also have a disc with a burned copy of the game as it was when submitted to the dream on competition. Any ideas how to clone the cd so that anyone interested can burn a copy?

I'd recommed DiscJuggler with default settings and 8x speed if it ask to fix image answer no, also you can upload just plain files - it's not a problem to make a homebrew image with BootDreams nowadays.

Also can you tell me more about that dream on competition ?

But i'm alittle confused...
How to play ? What should i do in game ? Why it shows split-screen, is it for 4 players ?

Yes, remember that this was kind of rushed over a very short period of time, so we only had time to do what you're seeing. So there's only a 4 player mode.

In short there are two game modes, one where the "active" player's score increases and one where it decreases. The mode is switched when a player takes the red cube object. So basically it's a form of "tag" game.

The active player is switched by bumping into another player (or possibly when falling down a hole).

Press A to jump, press (and hold) X to charge, use the left and right buttons on the back to side strafe and the analogue joystick to steer.
