PadrinatoR (http://teamnnc.free.fr/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=7100)posted a new app for the DS that lets you Control Winamp from your DS, heres the info:

Requirements:
- .NET Framework 2.0 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en)
- You must have the port 32123 UDP opened in your router.

Step by step guide:
1) Install .NET Framework 2.0 (if it's not installed yet)
2) Run the server app (DSAmpServer.exe). If you have Windows Firewall enabled, it will ask you if you want to lock the application. You must choose Unlock. It doesn't matter if Winamp isn't opened, because you can open and close it from NDS
3) Switch on you DS and run DSAmp. It will ask you for host's IP, enter it and click OK.

Enjoy it!

cant get it to work? is there more detailed instructions available? it just says "winamp is closed" on the touch screen. i have the most recent winamp, 5.24, and .net 2.0. Ive tried it with my firewall disabled

I copy the DSAmp file i need to use to my flashcard

Run DSAmpServer.exe on my computer

Turn on my DS and run DSAmp

how do i make sure that port 32123 UDP opened in my router?

You'll need to connect to your router and check

I tried it and it works great, id love it though if you could set a folder on your computer to search for playlists so you wouldnt have to get up and change them ;)

:Edit:

The DSamp server crashes when i try to open up Winamp from my DS, wouls it have something to do with WinAMP not being installed into the default directory?

WinXP/2000:

Start>Run>command (or cmd, not sure)

then type "ipconfig" and then look at your Default Gateway, type it in a browser with a http:// and youll get connected to it im pretty sure

Works perfect!

Though I'd like to see the playlist on the DS also. That would be swell...

i emailed PadrinatoR and he said he hasnt had time to come out with a playlist although he would like to. He just hasnt had the time. He told me the source code is out so if you wanted to you could but that in yourself.

For those of you with newer DS Lites, you're going to need the newer DSWifi libraries (at least DSWifi 0.3d) to get this to work on your DS. I've re-compiled it with these libraries and uploaded it here (http://blog.dev-scene.com/nothsa/2007/04/04/dsamp-v10-with-dswifi-03d/) if anyone needs it.

Shame I hate winamp. The audio codecs suck ass and it generally has way to much for what I want from a player.
Can I convince you to make something like this for Cowons Jetaudio.

Make one for iTunes! That would be awesome! itunes has an in built audio streaming function, maybe someone can tap into that and fool itunes into thinking the ds is another computer with itunes on it
