Ookm's TA-082 software downgrader

Ookm has found a way to downgrade TA-082 PSPs although the process is quite complicated. Heres whats posted on his blog


Success SoftDown FW2.50 TA-082 to FW1.00/1.50

Had found a method SoftDown TA-082's FW2.50 PSP to FW1.00/1.50
But the method is quite complex, SoftDown a TA-082's PSP need about 45min

1. Use software Read Data From TA-082's NandFlash & DDR DRam
2. Analyzes the Data than make a "FW1.00/1.50 NandFlash img" that can Boot on TA-082
3. Use software Write that "FW1.00/1.50 NandFlash img" to TA-082

maybe late i will make a software to let "FW2.50 TA-082" user to dump "NandFlash & DDR DRam" data to me
than i can make the "FW1.00/1.50 NandFlash img" to help them SoftDown their TA-082 :P

Not really, it takes 45 minutes to downgrade and is still very risky for now...

Right now, considering it's BETA and takes 45 minutes, then, yes, it probably has high risks of bricking. :(

Only factory 2.6 and some 2.5 have TA-082 motherboards. ;)

lol well good luck to TA-082 owners, more homebrew users will merge from this I bet and maybe more programmers 2 because now they can experiment with the PSP more :)

Pretty much soon we will be getting downgraders for fw 1000.0 psp's hehe :)

he hasnt even released it yet for 2.5....and if i recall correctly, cant a ta-082 downgrade to 2.5 with no problem? :)

he'll find a way either way....he's turning into the very character that he has on that magical plate in his pic :)

phew. I had a factory Ta-082 with 2.5 firmware and recently upgraded to 2.60. Looks like there might be hope for me yet then.

its good to hear that there is still hope.BUT GUYS DO THE MATH.....he has to analyze the data which takes him at least 45min...so unless ookm comes up with a faster n more efficent way of doing this u guys best pray that ur in the top 20 when he starts taking data. because at that rate n with ookm working n creating new hacks for the psp my guess is that he's only gonna be able to do 2/3 a day...

so do what i did find a dowgradable psp /buy it n downgrade.....am not bitching on this break through because i too have a ta-082 psp also.... but am just telling u the facts...which is, at least 300,000 people has psp's that they would want to downgrade too.

One TA-082 that I bought a while ago, and a non 082 that I downgraded to a 1.50. It would be awesome if they get it downgraded.. I knew they would do it. I just didnt wait, that why I bought a nother one.,

ookm has released a program to dump 2.5 on his blog. dump is 41mb so free some space before you try this. can't wait to downgrade to 1.5

If he succeeds in getting factory 2.6 ta-082 downgraded, he would have helped made evry1 under 2.7 eligible for downgrading...can't wait for that wonderful day so i'm collecting 1.5 utilities now...lol
