Do V-rally 3 and Fifa 2006 work?

I can't get either to work :(

Analogue stick control would be a big improvement, the PSP pad isn't very good IMHO.

Plowking
August 28th, 2006, 00:44
Both Fire Emblem games are displaying the same issue with buildings and other objects (bridges etc.) starting to flash red when you are moving a character.

Both are US versions. It could be that I now have to use GTA to make the emulator work. But that seems too specific to be true. Both games are obviously using the same engine to run the gameplay which is why the error appears in both.

I don't have any pause problems with my game between turns, maybe its memory card type related, because it saves after every move, and some cards are faster than others. Turn off the save mode in the menu to 'Exit only' and it shouldn't happen.

August 28th, 2006, 00:52
Fire Emblem worked with building glitches during battle.. a bit of pause (that's so much improvement from last version) during change turn (player-enemy) with.. funny sound.. This emu is shaping up to be wonderful..

Sega Rally run almost full-speed (or so I think.. :D ) with funny sound..

Man.. This really needs to use the analog-stick.. I can't believe how sucks is PSP D-pad !

you can red the game info at some gba release info site or you can just start a game and check if you can save and if you can't then you gotta try the other option. That's about it. Oh yeah dont forget to start the rom with that save option everytime you go back to play it.

My favourite GBA game, Fire Emblem seems to be running really well, but there's one nagging graphic issue.

Any one else have this happening:

Whenever you move one of your characters certain areas of the map flash red. It fixes itself after a battle scene though, but will happen each time you move someone.

Words fail me though, on how fricking great this emulator is.

Can you please pm me your Fire Emblem rom?

I find that if you un pack your rom,get rid of any files that arn't the gba rom then zip up your rom file and place in your gpsp file.

before running make sure the flash rom type is set to 128kb.(for pokemon games)

hope this helps.:)

I've also found that this method works for other games to.

For everyone with the gpsp.cfg corruption problems.. yeah, there's some bug that causes it, although I don't know what it is exactly. If it happens to you reupload the file. At the very least the next version will have sanity checks to prevent totally bad gpsp.cfg files from ruining everything >_> (but hopefully it'll have the bug fixed in general)

pokemon is so mysterious no one really knows lmao but a very additive game they just need to make the game long enough to actaully get at leased 2 pokemon to level 100 without the rare candy code the game is easily beatable they need to add a very vast world in the game but of course it might be to much for even the gba to handle idk

Hey kramer you are right its a very well put together mixed version of Pokémon red and Pokémon green with some new monsters who ever did this is very talented i give him that. I checked mi box it doesn't have a bar code. There for its not a legal release. Its a hack like you said. I bought mine at ioffer years ago. I should have known better. My bad

If it's not 'real' nintendo.. Isn't it alright to put the link to the rom here ?

But a combination of red and green sounds fun. If it's decently coded (even die-hard pkmn fans like Acidburn fooled) then the guy doing it must've a real talent..

I know a hacked game such as Chrono-trigger spoof version but to produce something like that, complete with the box and cartridge.. That's really something..

Btw.. Playing around with gpSP.. Spongebob the movie and Fifa 06 crashed immediately.

gpSP complete compatibility list project

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone,

To face the upcoming questions about what game will work with the new builds of gpSP, i have decided to create a regulary updated list of compatibility.

For now, i have tested 300 roms, with gpSP 0.6. These ares roms number 300 to 600 from the well known list of gba roms (actually the last is about number 2200, i think...).

The compatibility list is coming with a system of notation... see by yourself.

Next week will come a new addition of 300 roms (number 1 to 299) .

Each time a new build of gpSP will be released, i will update the list, trying the previous non-working roms first .

Give me your opinion and if there is errors in the list, mail me at [email protected]. Please mail me only for the roms currently in the list, the others will come in the next weeks .

I must ask to the webmasters to allowed me to upload zip files, that contains of excel version of the list, please... it will be easier.

If you want to use the list and convert it into html for your website, please mail me. Thanks

now just a copy/past to see what information it contains

yes :the game is running
crash :crash with the well known blue screen "sorry but your psp has just crashed"
crash :screen freeze

sound : ooo=perfect ; oo=some scratch noises ; o= gives headaches

game : ooo=perfect ; oo=bugs but playable ; o=bugs and unplayable

frameskip = the configuration for the best gameplay/graphic/sound quality

Size (octet) - number - name Run Sound Game Frameskip commentary

I found some thing strange for the sonic advance series on this fantastic emu.

basicly when you load any one of the games up in 128kb mode all the levels and chaos emeralds are complete.basicly a level skip cheat.

Then if you load the the same sonic game up in 64 kb the game asks you for regestration.strange I know.

just thought I'd let you guys know.

try it out and see :)

Ya, I've noticed that too. I've found that 0 fs is appropriate for walking around, 1 for trainer battles, and 2 for wild pokemon encounters. In Mt. Moon, however wild pokemon battles don't seem to slow down at all with 1 fs.

by the way, EVERYONES beat pokemon.. codes just make the game all the more fun. i only use the money and inf. master ball cheats.

Hey, i had no idea games like max payne we're possible on the GBA. really wicked emu. Advance wars 1 my fav game

I'm having serious issues tho. i play the emu a couple of times then after that, when i load em up the triangle won't work and they crash with a blue screen. If i replace the eboot, cfg etc it works again but only for a few times and my saves are capoot.

Anyone else? is there a simple solution?

I have FW1.5 down from 2 and haven't altered any save sizes

sorry if this has been explained but i'm staying with someone who won't go broadband and so don't have time to read all the posts.

Just download the 0.6 package again. Considering the trouble with corrupted config files this version is having, I suggest you do what I do: keep a clean copy on your PC. The corruption seems to happen every couple of days for me.

The most irritating facet of this issue is the fact that the corrupted config file won't allow itself to simply be replaced, necessitating a full replacement of all files/folders for gpSP. Not a huge time difference, of course, but still more than a little frustrating.

As to those who have suggested locking the .cfg file by flagging the "read-only" attribute in Windows: I'm giving that a shot myself, but I don't hold out great hopes, as you're setting a Windows file attribute, that I'm guessing the PSP will blithely ignore.

All that said, let's hear yet another round of frantic monkey hooting for Exophase. I haven't been this stoked to own a PSP since snes9x TYL made its way onto the scene. Me and my stock 1.50 PSP eagerly await further beta releases of this fine-ass emulator, and even--dare I say it?--a 1.0!

Rocksteady, Exophase.

Yes, I truly hope that ".cfg" corruption will be fixed next release, its annoying having to replace everything, but def. worth it non the less.

also, i agree, for a Beta version, its got to be one of the BEST beta's ever. its even better than the NON public psx beta. (fps wise) I.M.O.

I never have to replace all the folders and files when that happens all i do is delete the messed up cfg file and replace it with another 1 i have stored on my pc, that always works for me.

Just set the cfg as a read only, it was even confirmed by Exophase that this will solve the problem. And he also mentioned it will be fixed next release iirc.

Right, i figured i would just set it to READ ONLY, but from other forums i heard it can cause SAVE problems..wich is why i haven't tried it. but im gonna just go for it.

I never had any problems with the gpsp.cfg file before but I set it to read-only anyway because I thought it would prevent it from corrupting in the future, turns out I was wrong and setting the file to read-only caused it to corrupt the next time I used the emulator. I had to format my entire memory stick just to get rid of it. So my advice would be don't make the file read-only.
