We have 4 new images of the GPS add on for the PSP for you, the release date for this unit is still unconfirmed to be September, i dont know about you but the add on looks a tad ugly but if it does the job who cares

One interesting thing for homebrewers and hackers is what potential does this addon mean for us, what can the homebrew scene release that will make it a killer app?

Can't wait till this comes out. Then I won't have to get a 500$ gps unit.

Hopefully this one won't be $500. I'm sure since it's for psp it will at least be cheaper than the system. Has there been a price flying around for this gps unit?

personally i woudve liked a wider unit than one this long... but seriously, quit your bitchin, its not that bad and its not that big. as long as it works well, comes bundled with decent software and at a resonable price I'm keen to buy. (Was looking at using Mapviewer but this comes soon anyway ). Only problem is that there will probly be a firmware update required.... come on devhook!!!

I don't think homebrew would have much of a shot at making a killer app with this since it would probably use the latest firmware. The last image caught my attention. Is it showing that the GPS unit can fold down? Cus if it could, it would be a tad less ugly.

I'm wondering if they will have a umd with audio navigation assistance. This combine with a fm transmitter and you car radio would be really cool.

I'm looking forward to the release of that. I don't really care about the looks of it. it's not too bad...
nice that it folds though.

So long as it's cheapish it'll be worth having.

Chances are it'd be cheaper to get a proper GPS unit.

anyone know if it will yell out directions at you if it does? I would buy it if it yelled at me.

the gps will probably not be that impressive, i mean look at the digital camera it is like 1 mp and lags a lot plus gps, scary, the government will always know where I am. AAAAAH!!!! Can you hear the voices?!?!

I wonder why they didn't just make it all the silver that the PSP uses (on the side). Doesn't look too bad though.
