Time Pilot dive-bombs Live Arcade

It's Wednesday, which can only mean one thing: a new game on Xbox Live Arcade. This week, Time Pilot takes a bow.

Yup, that's the old arcade classic from Konami, in which -- as the name might just suggest a teensy bit -- you pilot an experimental aircraft which can travel backwards and forwards in time and hence engage in dogfights against both biplanes and UFOs.

Time Pilot is yours for the paltry sum of 400 Microsoft points, squire, and boasts single and multi-player modes as well as fistfuls of unlockables. Nice!

Good version of TimePilot that plays pretty well.

The updated graphics add a nice skin to the old chunky original sprites, yet manage to be faithful to the grpahical intent of the original game (one of my favourite shoot em ups of the early 80s).

Good to see that Eclipse are now producing better quality conversions that the shabby job they made of Gauntlet (jerky scrolling or what?).

Have fun - this one's worth a few MS points - at least for arcade veterans in their mid-30's like myself!

Totally agree with you Kultivator, well worth the download, This is a very enjoyable release and the multiplayer mode is excellent.
