Metal Slug will indeed be sweet.

Does anyone else think that the new mercury game (with the black outline around the glob and Yoshi's Island-esque fonts) looks kinda cartoony and a lot less metallic and visually cool than the original?

Not me. From what I think I understand, the game hasn't changed, just the music and the addition of videos from acts I don't care much for. This might be okay for someone who never got around to playing the original.

I "tried" Gangs of London and found I didn't like it.

I've ordered Loco Roco, which I've also "tried" and love.

Metal Slug, which I was introduced to on the NeoGeo CD emulator, is also a must-buy, as is Vice City Stories.

Mercury Meltdown is a posibility too.

All this once 2.8 is emulated (I take it they won't be 2.71 games).
