Shin'en Multimedia has announced that it's working on a sequel to charming but short-lived DS shoot-'em-up Nanostray.
Not much is known about Nanostray 2 other than it has a logo and is due out in 2007, but Shin'en promises that it will make some use of the touch-screen, and will support multiplayer over Wi-Fi Connection - i.e. the Internet. The previous game used the touch-screen for changing weapons.
Fortunately for those of you seeking more information, we're promised more in the way of both that and screenshots via the official website very soon. "Shin'en again raises the bar for high quality games with never-seen-before graphics, awesome audio and innovative gameplay on the Nintendo DS," says project manager Manfred Linzner, who's presumably seen the aforementioned information and screenshots. When we have, we'll give you a shout.
